The movie was not made with the mainstream audiences in mind and Khan himself was limited to a small role. The movie focused more on the characters portrayed by other actors like Prateik Babar etc. Understandably the movie did not gain much success at the box office but remains a critical favorite.

While the movie was fairly enjoyable, it was an average grosser at the box office and was not the kind of success that an average Shahrukh Khan movie usually is.

  • Phir Milenge:

Perhaps that is the reason why Phir Milenge is such an anomaly in his filmography. Khan portrays a person who suffers from HIV-AIDS. The real star of the movie though was Shilpa Shetty who received all the applause for the movie. Khan’s role was more of a cameo in the movie. It continues to be one the rare moments where Salman Khan is not the main attraction of the movie and this fact is perhaps the only reason why people still remember this film.

  • Baghban:

Top 5 Movies Where Khans Weren't In The Limelight Baghban is widely remembered for the lead actors in the movie; Amitabh Bachan and Hema Malini. The main focus of the movie was essentially on those two actors and it is only towards the end of the movie that Salman Khan shows up.
